"The Hip Hop Project," a film by Scott Rosenberg and Matt Ruskin, received the inaugural $25,000 Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 15th annual Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis, which attracted its largest audience yet, 18,184 people.

The film focuses on a group of New York City teenagers who transform their lives into works of art, using hip-hop as a vehicle for self- development and personal discovery."
