MTV Executive and Wake-Up Show Host, Sway Calloway recently travelled to Paris.
During the taping of a segment for MTV News' You Hear it First, Sway says he was inspired by the power of Hip-Hop.
Find out how...
"After visiting Paris a few months ago, I decided to continue to travel to places like Tokyo, Japan, London, the UK, Scandinavian countries and Africa because I found out that Hip-Hop culture has created a platform for people who feel disenfranchised from the mainstream society all over the world,"
Sway said it was the commonality of Hiphop Kulture that allowed him to feel at home in foreign lands.
The Paris feature highlights many of France's most successful Hiphop artists, including Diams, Bobba, Rohff, Kohndo, Ministere Amer, Mafia K1fry and 113 who have worked alongside such artists as Guru, Diddy, Pharrell, Redman, Method Man, Beyonce, and Mobb Deep.
"When you look at it, there are a lot of similarities of common denominators that we're finding between us and them," said Sway. "It's a beautiful result of what the (Kulture) started in the Bronx."
