The idea behind the program and partnership is to offer inspiration,
insight, and realistic goals for young women, as well as recognizing a
different point of view from industry standards on what true beauty can
be.
Current Element Advocates include:
Brooke Reidt. Los Angeles based artist Brooke Reidt helped define the
Advocate program, and her work is featured on many of the current
Element pieces in the fall and holiday lines. She just finished a group
show entitled “Garden of Souls” at the Self Help Graphics Gallery in
Los Angeles. Check www.elementeden.com for photos and interviews with
Brooke.
Mataji Booker. Not only has Mataji worked professionally as a DJ,
photographer, actress, dancer, model, and musician, she can also add
Element Eden Advocate to her resume. On any given night, you can find
her performing in some capacity. Catch her acoustic set as part of
“Acoustic Transmissions” at Cranes Hollywood Tavern in Hollywood,
California, October 10th.
Tiffany Bozic. Midwest raised but Oakland, California based artist
Tiffany Bozic works with acrylic paint, wood, and cloth, creating very
personal and complex paintings and sketches. She’s showed across the
country, and currently has a much-anticipated solo showing at BLK/ MRKT
Gallery in Culver City, California, running until October 21st.
Ishle Park. Ishle Park is part of the new guard of poets and spoken
word artists. Her work has been published in over 30 anthologies,
including The Best American Poetry in 2003. Last year Ishle was a
touring cast member of the Def Poetry Jam, performing in 51 cities in
the US and New Zealand. Hailing from Queens, New York, she's also a
musician and will be coming out with her second CD & performing at
colleges on the Danger & Beauty Tour in the spring of 2007.
