Irvine, CA – September 28, 2006: In our ongoing quest to offer more than just clothing, Element Eden has gathered a “team” of artists, musicians, poets, and craftswomen into a group called the Element Eden Advocates. There are no set rules for who can become an advocate other than creativity, passion, and social awareness and responsibility.

The idea behind the program and partnership is to offer inspiration, insight, and realistic goals for young women, as well as recognizing a different point of view from industry standards on what true beauty can be.

Current Element Advocates include: Brooke Reidt. Los Angeles based artist Brooke Reidt helped define the Advocate program, and her work is featured on many of the current Element pieces in the fall and holiday lines. She just finished a group show entitled “Garden of Souls” at the Self Help Graphics Gallery in Los Angeles. Check www.elementeden.com for photos and interviews with Brooke.

Mataji Booker. Not only has Mataji worked professionally as a DJ, photographer, actress, dancer, model, and musician, she can also add Element Eden Advocate to her resume. On any given night, you can find her performing in some capacity. Catch her acoustic set as part of “Acoustic Transmissions” at Cranes Hollywood Tavern in Hollywood, California, October 10th.

Tiffany Bozic. Midwest raised but Oakland, California based artist Tiffany Bozic works with acrylic paint, wood, and cloth, creating very personal and complex paintings and sketches. She’s showed across the country, and currently has a much-anticipated solo showing at BLK/ MRKT Gallery in Culver City, California, running until October 21st.

Ishle Park. Ishle Park is part of the new guard of poets and spoken word artists. Her work has been published in over 30 anthologies, including The Best American Poetry in 2003. Last year Ishle was a touring cast member of the Def Poetry Jam, performing in 51 cities in the US and New Zealand. Hailing from Queens, New York, she's also a musician and will be coming out with her second CD & performing at colleges on the Danger & Beauty Tour in the spring of 2007.
